Anderson Conservation Fund accepting 2026 grant applications NELSONVILLE, Ohio – The Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO) is accepting applications for 2026 grants available through the Ora E. Anderson Conservation Fund for Appalachian Ohio. Public and nonprofit organizations, as well as groups working in fiscal sponsorships with a nonprofit or public organization, are eligible to apply for funding to support conservation across Appalachian Ohio’s 32 counties. Wellsville fire chief still committed to road closure

WELLSVILLE — The village fire chief remains steadfast in the closure of a section of Main Street following the collapse of a building. Fire Chief Barry Podwel Tuesday addressed discussion at the previous council meeting regarding council being able to overrule his decision to keep the 400 block of Main Street closed due to safety reasons following the collapse of the 5&10 building.
