County commissioners declare August as Child Support Awareness Month

Beaver Valley Power Station transitioning to new alert system

By the beginning of 2027, residents of the Tri-State Area will have a new way to receive alerts for tests and emergencies at the Beaver Valley Nuclear Power Station. “We’ll be updating our warning systems,” Jennie Steifel, off-site emergency preparedness specialist for the station, explained while appearing before Hancock County commissioners during their meeting Friday morning. United Local School District seeking input to help develop a capital improvement plan

HANOVERTON — A Capital Improvement Building Plan is being developed by the United Local School District and the district is gathering input from staff members in addition to seeking outside input from local organizations.
