COLUMBIANA — Local bus drivers were given the chance to hone their safety skills during an event hosted at South Range Schools this month. Crestview School District Transportation Supervisor Annette VanHorn provided an overview of the event to the Crestview Board of Education during its regular meeting. VanHorn said the Safety Day was an “eye opening experience” that helped drivers learn exactly how to respond in various instances. LISBON — A Lisbon man sentenced to at least nine years in prison in August filed an appeal recently to challenge his punishment. Hunter Congrove, 23, state Route 45, could face a maximum 12 years in prison if the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections chooses to keep him inside at the end of the nine years, dependent on his behavior in jail.
