Salem Community Foundation to sponsor Banquet in Salem The Dine in or Drive Thru Banquet in Salem will be served from 5 p.m. until the food is gone Monday at the Salem Memorial Building, sponsored by the Salem Community Foundation. The menu will include fried chicken, diced potatoes with onions and peppers, corn, coleslaw, fresh vegetables and fruit, and cookies. Annual Greenway Trail Day celebrates history, reading and outdoor recreation July 11

LEETONIA – The Friends of the Greenway Trail invite outdoor enthusiasts of all ages to the annual Greenway Trail Day on July 11 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. To keep trail-goers fueled, water stops featuring refreshments and light snacks will be stationed at the Lisbon, Teegarden Covered Bridge, Franklin Square and Leetonia parking lot areas along the route. Water will be available to battle heat during Lisbon Fireworks celebration Thursday

LISBON — This year’s Lisbon Fireworks celebration on Thursday will mark the 250th birthday of the USA with music, games, food and fun — and lots and lots of water to keep attendees hydrated. “There’s not much we can do as far as shade,” Lisbon Fireworks Committee Chairperson Judy Noel said.
