COLUMBIANA — City Council heard from one concerned resident during a public hearing for a rezone of annexed property last week. The hearing was held for the rezone of the 6.279 acres of property the city is annexing from Unity Township on behalf of Lakefront Preserve LLC, a local real estate holding and property development company. The property is a small piece of a two-phase housing development that encompasses homes across the back nine of the Links at Firestone Farms. Local mayors connect with teachers during ESC bootcamp

LISBON — Mayors from local communities were able to visit the Columbiana County Educational Service Center and speak to teachers during the ESC’s recent Teacher Bootcamp. The Bootcamp, which was held last week, was a way for local teachers to see first-hand the available careers in Columbiana County. Dennis Dunham, ESC Director of Teaching and Learning, told the ESC board during its regular meeting in July that the participation from local mayors this year has a been “a great addition.” According to meeting minutes posted online, Dunham said the mayors shared their ...
