Salem parks commission discusses employee wages update

SALEM — The parks commission discussed updates to employee wages in its July meeting. Following an executive session for the discussion of employee wages the commissioners voted unanimously to adjust the pay scale for the department’s receptionist position, currently held by Diana Harshman, from the current rage of $11 to $14 per hour, to $12 to $16 per hour. LISBON — A Leetonia man accused of allegedly having sexual contact with a 5-year-old child entered a not guilty plea during arraignment Thursday. Scott E. Arter, 61, Leetonia Road, was charged with gross sexual imposition, a third-degree felony, for allegedly having sexual contact with the child victim on Aug. 24, 2025.
