Allison Erwin, 17, East Rochester, president of Columbiana County Jr. Fair Board and 2025 Columbiana County Jr. Fair and 4H Queen, is working to organize an All IN Livestock Inclusion Show for the 2026 Columbiana County Fair. Allison, who during her reign as queen over the past year, has visited multiple fairs where she has seen first-hand multiple disability and inclusion shows. Wellsville council hires full-time police officer

WELLSVILLE — Village council members Tuesday unanimously approved Lt. Marsha Eisenhart’s request to hire Ryan McKee on as a full-time officer for the Wellsville Police Department to fill a vacancy previously created by a resignation. Eisenhart said the McKee, who has officially started working with the department, has just graduated from the police academy and is ready to go. Eisenhart noted the department currently has a lot of overtime with vacations and officers off. East Liverpool Police Department to purchase new body cams

EAST LIVERPOOL — East Liverpool City Council unanimously approved the purchase of new body worn cameras for the East Liverpool Police Department during Monday’s City Council Meeting. The police department will purchase 19 new body worn cameras, which is enough to provide each officer and the chief with a new one at a total cost of $60,160. To go along with the ordinance approving the payment for the body cameras, council members approved an ordinance for Police Chief John Lane to accept a grant award in the amount of $21,034 to go toward the purchase price. LISBON — A New Waterford man accused of kidnapping a woman from a daycare parking lot in Columbiana and forcing her to a secluded area while armed with a pistol entered a not guilty plea to the indictment, which includes a first-degree felony kidnapping charge.
