SALEM — City council voted to reduce outstanding zoning fees for a city property in its Aug. 4 meeting. Mayor Cyndi Baronzzi Dickey told council that a landlord with multiple properties within the city had purchased a property whose prior owners had not kept the property to code, accruing approximately $3,600 in fees prior to the purchase unbeknownst to the new owner. Goshen Township trustees adjust street lighting assessment

GOSHEN TOWNSHIP — The board of trustees approved adjustments to the township’s special assessment for street lighting in its meeting Tuesday. The trustees unanimously approved a 4% increase in the township’s special assessment for electricity for 2027. The trustees and Fiscal Officer Michele Barratt said that the increase was being made to keep up with ongoing inflation.
