EAST LIVERPOOL — Columbiana Metropolitan Housing Authority officials Wednesday addressed concerns recently raised by the East Liverpool mayor. County commissioners tout scrap tire drive at fairgrounds

LISBON — An Ohio Scrap Tire Collection Day will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Sept. 19 at the Columbiana County Fairgrounds. Free to residents, the scrap tire collection event is sponsored by the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency and the CCH Solid Waste District. Rulli is making sure students have access to life skills curriculum

EAST PALESTINE — A local member of Congress is making sure students in his district have access to life skills curriculum. State Rep. Michael Rulli announced recently that the East Palestine School District has been selected to participate in the second year of the Education Revolution Association (ERA) Life Discovery Classroom Program. Criminal cases dismissed after Leetonia man found not competent

LISBON — A Leetonia man had the three criminal cases against him in Columbiana County Municipal Court dismissed after he was found not competent and not able to be restored to competency. Jonathan D. Cook, 43, Oak Street, was ordered sent back to Heartland Behavioral Healthcare after the hearing Wednesday. Cook had been examined by the Forensic Psychiatric Center of Northeast Ohio and based on the report, Judge Danielle Menning found him not competent and noted there was not a substantial probability that he will become competent.
