BELOIT – West Branch FFA members traveled to Indianapolis for the National FFA Convention, where they explored agriculture, attended events, and celebrated a chapter member's achievement.
On the way, members visited Velvet-View Dairy Farm in Big Prairie, Ohio, to learn about its show cows, dairy products, and IVF facility. They ended their first day at a Ty Myers concert.
At the convention, members heard keynote speaker Scott McKain discuss setting goals and recognizing those who help along the way. They also toured Kokomo Grain and Hunter's Honey Farm to learn about grain operations and honey bees.
At the convention's career expo, members connected with industry professionals and explored opportunities in agriculture. The expo featured more than 300 exhibitors, including agricultural businesses, colleges, universities, and organizations such as John Deere and Ducks Unlimited. The group later attended a rodeo at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
The chapter also celebrated Alex Campbell as he received his American FFA Degree and crossed the national stage.
