The October meeting of the Columbiana County Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma was held at the New Waterford United Methodist Church. Nancy Dicken offered the prayer and members enjoyed a potluck dinner. A special guest in attendance was Dr. Denise Seachrist Lipp.

Ann Hall conducted the business meeting in the absence of President Pam Todd. Amy Johnson's minutes and Sharon Walker's treasurer's report were accepted.

This month's monetary collection for a local robotics team was designated to be donated to Beaver Local High School.

Members were reminded of the Tri-County Delta Kappa Gamma meeting to be held at A La Cart Catering in Canfield on Wednesday, Oct. 14.

The program was provided by Laura Spencer, art teacher at Crestview Elementary. Spencer is also a member of Mahoning County DKG. She shared her talents and instructed the members in creating wooden pumpkins.

The next meeting will be held Nov. 12 at 5:30 p.m. at Hoge's Restaurant in East Liverpool. The program will be provided by Sue Conner and two Crestview students who attended the English Festival at Youngstown State University.
