YOUNGSTOWN -- The Mahoning Valley Historical Society (MVHS) Arms Family Museum is temporarily closed to the public as preparations are underway for the 18th Annual Memories of Christmas Past, opening Saturday, Nov. 14.

Headlining this year's celebration is White Christmas: The Exhibition, a special presentation honoring the 1954 holiday film and the musical legacy of American composer Irving Berlin. Visitors will have the opportunity to view original Hollywood costumes and artifacts connected to White Christmas, Holiday Inn, and Berlin's enduring contributions to American music and entertainment.

Beyond the Hollywood spotlight, this year's Memories of Christmas Past will feature a collection of holiday experiences throughout the museum, including:

• Jack Frost: A whimsical winter wonderland inspired by the beauty, wonder, and magic of the winter season.

• The Crystal Tree: A breathtaking centerpiece adorned with nearly 2,000 sparkling crystals, creating a dazzling display of light and elegance within the Jack Frost exhibition.

• Nativities from Around the World: A celebration of Christmas traditions and craftsmanship through an extraordinary collection of international nativity scenes.

• 19th Century Christmas: A nostalgic journey through the holiday customs, decorations, and traditions of Christmases past.

The 18th Annual Memories of Christmas Past opens Saturday, Nov. 14, and continues through Dec. 31.

Advance ticket purchases are strongly encouraged. Visitors can find exhibition details, admission information, and tickets at www.mahoninghistory.org.
