The Lisbon Blue Devils and United Golden Eagles are taking their storied rivalry from the gridiron to the pantry in this week’s "Clash of Cans," a food drive to see which school district can collect the most non-perishable goods for local families. Throughout the week, students and community members are rallying to stock their local food pantries, with Lisbon's collections directly benefiting the Lisbon area and United's donations supporting Hanoverton. Beyond helping neighbors in need, the winning district earns community bragging rights and a traveling trophy. The totals will be officially announced at half-time during Friday night's varsity football game at United, where representatives from both schools will take the 50-yard line to crown this year's champion.
