LISBON -- Kaedin D. Ulbrich, 19, Steubenville Pike Road, Lisbon, was served Tuesday with a secret indictment issued by the Columbiana County Grand Jury for fourth-degree felony grand theft and fifth-degree felony breaking and entering for illegally entering the Lisbon Fire Department building and stealing equipment, including numerous radios and turnout gear used for firefighting on June 19.
According to a Lisbon Police report, Ulbrich allegedly admitting to entering the building on South Jefferson Street at 5 a.m. by using the garage door code. The police report said Ulbrich had been hanging out at the fire department and had been permitted to go out on some calls and learn about the fire service, but was not a member of the fire department and did not have permission to access the building or take equipment. Items he allegedly stole listed on the police report included a mobile radio, two portable radios, two radio batteries, a radio charger, turnout pants with new leather boots attached, a turnout coat with LFD on the back, fire helmet, siren system, hood, new fire gloves, rescue glove, turnout pants with old boots attached, another turnout coat with LFD on the back, self-contained breathing apparatus masks and a fire hose nozzle.
