Railroad crossings throughout the city were blocked for several hours Thursday after a Norfolk Southern train experienced engine failure in the early hours of the morning. While the railroad crossing on South Lincoln Avenue and Allen Road were cleared by the afternoon, others remained closed into the evening with no estimated time-frame available for when the train could be removed from the tracks Wednesday evening.
