SALEM--The city of Salem will be offering residents an opportunity to meet city employees and first responders.
"This event is an opportunity for our residents to meet face-to-face with the men and women who provide many of the important services that make our city a great place to live," City Service Safety Director Joe Cappuzzello said.
The city of Salem will be hosting a community day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 3 in Lincoln Plaza, where residents will be able to meet and take photos with city personnel and learn about the services the city provides. Cappuzzello said that the event will feature members of the city's police department and K-9 unit, the fire department and ambulance crew, and the street, parks and health departments.
The city will also be offering refreshments with free hot dogs donated by Fresh Mark, chips donated by Walmart, bottled water, and ice cream from Totally 80s Ice Ice Cream available at no charge.
