Patrol’s Trooper English promoted to sergeant at the Lisbon Post

LISBON - Trooper Andrew J. English, Office of Recruitment, was promoted to the rank of sergeant on Aug. 23 and was recognized by Col. Charles A. Jones, Patrol superintendent, during a ceremony at the Patrol's Training Academy. English transferred from his previous assignment in the Office of Recruitment to serve as assistant post commander at the Lisbon Post.

English began his patrol career in October of 2016 as a member of the 161st Academy Class. He earned his commission in March of the following year and was assigned to the Lisbon Post. As a trooper, he also served in the Warren District Criminal Patrol. He earned the Criminal Patrol Award seven times and the Ace Award for excellence in auto larceny enforcement in 2022. He was designated as a master trooper in 2024.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice from Waynesburg University in 2015.
