COLUMBIANA - Ed Madej, member of the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra and a national performer, will provide music at the dedication of the newly added Senior Courts at Harvey S. Firestone Park on Saturday beginning at 3 p.m. at the site of the new Shuffleboard, Bocce and Corn Hole Courts across from the Spruce Tunnel Pavilion, and location of where the new playground will be built.

The program will recognize the longtime service of past Park Superintendents Perry Kaiser and Terry Shaffer. Shaffer will provide some personal comments and history of the park, while Tingle, and those who remember Kaiser, will also offer remarks.

The program will honor the many years of devotion that both Shaffer and Kaiser dedicated to Firestone Park as the new Courts are presented to the public in their honor.

The Senior Courts have been funded by the Bradford and Patricia Family Foundation under the auspices of the Restoration and Beautification Committee of Columbiana.

As seating will be limited, attendees are asked to bring lawn chairs for the program. In case of inclement weather, the program will be moved inside nearby and signage will be posted. For information, contact the Firestone Cultural and Custodial Committee at 330-397-4706.
