Kent State East Liverpool hosting Red Cross blood drive to help remember 9-11

EAST LIVERPOOL -- Kent State at East Liverpool nursing students will welcome the American Red Cross for a blood drive on Sept. 10 as part of the Never Forget-Community Remembrance event being held to observe the 25th anniversary Sept. 11, 2001.
The blood donation center will be in the Academic Learning Commons, located on the second floor of Purinton Hall from 1 to 6 p.m. Donors can pre-register by using the code 43920 at www.redcrossblood.org. Walk-ins are also welcome.
Aside from the blood drive, the free community event will take place outdoors from 4 to 7 p.m. and includes family-friendly activities, information tables, free refreshments and displays of emergency vehicles (based on availability). All first responders who attend will receive remembrance pins.
