Joining Voices For Jesus returns to Columbiana County Fairgrounds Sept. 26

LISBON -- Christians from across Columbiana County and the surrounding region will gather at the Columbiana County Fairgrounds Grandstand Saturday, Sept. 26, for the 2026 Joining Voices For Jesus community worship event.
Hosted by Life With Christ Ministries, Joining Voices For Jesus will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. and will bring together believers from a wide variety of local churches, organizations, and denominations with one central purpose - to proclaim and celebrate Jesus Christ together.
The heart behind Joining Voices For Jesus is unity within the Body of Christ. Rather than focusing on the name of any individual church, ministry, worship leader, or pastor, the event provides an opportunity for Christians from different congregations and backgrounds to come together around the name that unites them--Jesus Christ.
"We may worship in different buildings on Sunday mornings, but everyone who belongs to Christ is part of one Body," said Pastor Christopher Brock of Life With Christ Ministries. "Joining Voices For Jesus is about laying aside the names on our church signs for a few hours and lifting up one name together--the name of Jesus. We want our community to see the Body of Christ united in worship, prayer, and the proclamation of the Gospel."
This year's worship will be led by five different worship leaders representing five different area churches, joined by numerous musicians and vocalists. Throughout the gathering, multiple pastors from area churches will also lead the community in times of prayer. Together, the various leaders and participants will demonstrate the very purpose behind the event: many congregations joining together as one Body to worship Christ.
The 2026 gathering follows the inaugural Joining Voices For Jesus event held June 21, 2025, at Sebo Stadium in Salem. That gathering brought together more than 50 churches and organizations and drew an estimated crowd of nearly 1,000 people. Throughout the afternoon, believers worshiped and prayed together, and 10 individuals publicly professed their faith through baptism.
Baptism will once again be an important part of this year's event. A baptismal tank will be available on site for individuals who desire to publicly declare their faith in Jesus Christ through baptism.
Organizers hope that what happened in 2025 will continue to grow--not simply in attendance, but in relationships among churches and believers throughout the region.
"Our prayer is bigger than one event," Brock said. "We want to see relationships built between churches, pastors, worship leaders, and believers. Jesus prayed that His people would be one. We believe there is something powerful when the community sees Christians choosing unity--not because we agree on every secondary issue, but because we agree that Jesus Christ is Lord."
