Local pet sitting business celebrates expansion with East Palestine Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting ceremony

EAST PALESTINE - Hound and Homestead, a professional pet and farm sitting provider since 2018, is expanding its services with the opening of a new boutique dog boarding and daycare B&B facility.
The expansion introduces a new boarding experience designed to give dogs a comfortable, personalized stay.
The new B&B features secure indoor suites and outdoor play yards designed for dogs' comfort,
safety and individual needs. Owners can customize their dog's stay with services including leashed
walks across the farm property, treats, enrichment activities, departure baths and other customized
add-ons.
"Opening this facility has been a dream of mine," said Laney Blakley, founder of Hound and Homestead. "Our goal was to create a new experience on our farm that feels like a getaway. We designed our B&B to go beyond traditional boarding, creating a welcoming environment where dogs can enjoy a true home-away-from-home while their owners have peace of mind."
The expansion represents a significant milestone for the locally owned business and reflects continued small business investment in the East Palestine community. Local civic leadership turned out to support the opening during an official ribbon-cutting ceremony by the East Palestine Chamber of Commerce on Saturday, Sept. 12.
"We are thrilled to celebrate this exciting new chapter for Hound and Homestead," said Lenny Glavan, president of the East Palestine Chamber of Commerce. "Watching a trusted local pet care business expand from its roots into a beautiful physical facility is exactly the kind of growth we love to see. The B&B is a fantastic addition for our community and area pet owners alike."
Hound and Homestead commemorated the grand opening alongside local community members during a public open house following the ribbon-cutting.
