RUMMAGE SALE CARRYOVER

New Garden Methodist Church, 7165 state Route 9, Hanoverton, will host its Rummage Sale Carryover from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. All items will be marked as donation.

WAYNE TOWNSHIP TO MEET

GAVERS -- The Wayne Township board of trustees next meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. today at the township hall in Gavers.

REV. ADAMS TO SPEAK

SALEM -- The Salem First Presbyterian Church will host Rev. Mark Adams 3 p.m. on Oct. 4 in the Fellowship Hall of the church. Adams, who has served served with Frontera de Cristo Presbyterian Border Ministry on the U.S.-Mexico border in Douglas, Arizona and Agua Prieta, Sonora, will share stories and information about the border ministry and the Cafe Justo Coffee program.

SALEM KIT HOMES FEATURED

SALEM -- The Salem Preservation Society will host a series on historic buildings starting on Oct. 3 at the Memorial Building. The event will run from noon to 2 p.m. and is $30. Ginger Grilli will be discussing manufacturing homes in and around the Salem area. Examples will be from the late 1800s through mid-century modern. Manufacturers include Aladdin, Bennet, Montgomery Ward/Wardway, Gordon Van Tine, Lustron, Lincoln and Sears. Brunch will be served before the talk. A MIDDAY HAUNTING IN COLUMBIANA

COLUMBIANA -- The Columbiana Arts Theater will serve up a Halloween season-themed midday cabaret “The 1 O’Clock Chilling” on Oct. 14 at the theater. Doors open at noon followed by the show at 1 p.m. The event will celebrate the spooky season with singing, ghouls, theater and storytelling.

EAST PALESTINE GROUP TO MEET
