SALEM - Salem Regional Medical Center (SRMC) is bringing convenient, walk-in urgent care back to the Calcutta community with the launch of SRMC Urgent Care - Calcutta on Sept. 2.
The service is re-opening at its previous location inside the Calcutta Medical Arts Center at 48462 Bell School Road and will provide walk-in medical care with expanded hours for minor illnesses and injuries that do not require an emergency room visit. No appointments are necessary.
Dr. Anita Hackstedde, SRMC President/CEO, emphasized the importance of convenient urgent care for the Calcutta community and local area families.
"SRMC Urgent Care - Calcutta offers a lower-cost option than the emergency department for patients who need prompt attention for non-life-threatening concerns but can't wait for a regular office visit with their doctors."
Patients can receive treatment for a wide variety of conditions ranging from cough, cold and flu symptoms to cuts, sprains and strains, skin problems, insect bites and stings, and other minor illnesses and injuries.
The office will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. It will be closed on Sundays and major holidays.
Those visiting SRMC Urgent Care - Calcutta should use the medical building's back entrance. The clinic is located in Suite D.
Most major health insurance plans are accepted, and self-pay options are available. Because this location does not provide emergency services, individuals experiencing severe or life-threatening conditions should call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
