CANFIELD -- Mahoning County Career & Technical Center (MCCTC), in partnership with Flashpass, an online workforce development platform, has opened enrollment for the Oil & Gas Jumpstart Program, a tuition-free training opportunity designed to introduce Ohio residents to the oil and gas industry and the career opportunities available throughout the production process.
The online program gives participants a practical look at the industry, including how oil and gas operations work, the types of careers that support the production process, and the skills and knowledge that can help individuals explore future employment opportunities in the field.
To help ensure the training reflects the realities of the industry, local oil and gas employers supported the development of the program by providing access to industry locations and operations. Curriculum was developed using this firsthand industry insight to give participants a more relevant understanding of the work environments, processes, and career paths available within the sector.
The Oil & Gas Jumpstart Program is tuition-free for participants through funding supporting the program at Mahoning County Career & Technical Center.
Enrollment is open not only to current MCCTC learners, but also to members of the surrounding community and all Ohio residents who are interested in learning more about careers in the oil and gas industry.
Flashpass supports the program through its online workforce development platform, providing an accessible learning experience designed to connect education, industry awareness, and career exploration.
