LISBON -- Lisbon Exempted Village Schools celebrated a new tradition on Saturday.
The district partnered with several community groups for the inaugural "Meet the Team Community Night." The evening celebrated the official kick-off to Lisbon's fall sports season with a parade of participating students, school supply giveaways, activities, entertainment and food; all of which were free.
Several community groups including VFW4111, Eagles 2216, Lisbon Lions Club, New Presbyterian Church and the American Legion partnered with Lisbon teachers, parents, and the Touchdown Club the free community event.
Free school supplies were distributed courtesy of Lisbon's New Presbyterian Church.
