SALEM -- Approximately 200 people were on hand Saturday during the annual Iden-Iler memorial fundraiser breakfast and trap shoot.

To date, $37,000 have been awarded in scholarships to 74 recipients.

Six students were selected as this year's recipients and presented with scholarship awards on Saturday. Janet Iden presented Camryn Cody, Macy Stowe, Chase Poffenberger, Elena Strozewski, Channing Toy and Elizabeth Kidd with $500 scholarships each.

Salem Hunting Club honors the memory of past SHC President Lowell Iden with a memorial scholarship fund in his name and fellow sport shooting enthusiast Larry Iler. Established to commemorate their encouragement of local youth to participate in shooting sports, especially trap shooting.
