Robin Yocum

EAST LIVERPOOL — Readers will have the opportunity to meet bestselling author Robin Yocum on Wednesday, July 23, when he returns to East Liverpool for a free community discussion of his novel, The Last Hitman, the featured selection for On the Same Page, the community’s One Community Read program.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. in the conference room of the Mary Patterson Building, Kent State, and is free and open to the public.

During the evening, Yocum will answer questions from readers, discuss the inspiration behind The Last Hitman, and share the real-life experiences and reporting that helped shape the novel. Audience members will also have the opportunity to learn about the writing process and the stories behind the story.

Whether participants have already finished the book or are just beginning to read it, the discussion promises a behind the scenes look into the creation of one of Yocum’s most compelling novels.

The Last Hitman was selected as the 2026 title for On the Same Page, a community-wide reading initiative that encourages residents to read the same book and participate in discussions and events centered on the selection. The program is designed to bring people together through a shared reading experience while fostering conversation, learning, and community connections.

The July 23 author discussion is free and open to everyone. No registration is required.

Starting at $3.75/week.
