Idabelle Firestone Fine Art Exhibition and Sale announced
The Firestone Park Cultural and Custodial Committee announces the date of the second annual Idabelle Firestone Fine Art Exhibition and Sale on Saturday, Aug. 15, (rain date Aug. 22) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Firestone Park. Artists, art lovers and art buyers alike are asked to mark their calendars for this special “Art in her Heart” event showcasing local artists and their original creations of fine art, all available for sale. The exhibition will be held at the Idabelle Firestone Gathering Place and Garden, the outdoor hilltop amphitheater inspired by her memory and her love of art, music and flowers. Music, concessions and a children’s art table will be included on the grounds. Artists may visit Art in Her Heart – The Idabelle Firestone Fine Art Exhibition and Sale on Facebook to apply and for more information. Artists may also fill out a print application by dropping by the Firestone Legacy and Event Center, located next to the main park entrance, for an application. The Legacy Center is open each Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The public is invited free of charge. Trash will be collected from East Liverpool city residences Friday
EAST LIVERPOOL — Trash will be collected from city residences Friday, July 3. The refuse and recycling department employees are scheduled to work on the day before Independence Day.
Residents whose trash is normally collected on Fridays are asked to have their trash set out at the curb the night before for pick up the next morning as usual.
Trash service on any of the city routes will not be affected by the national holiday.
Boyce Church to celebrate nation’s 250th anniversary
Boyce Church will be celebrating 250 years of God pouring His grace on the United States of America on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. with an outdoor service under a tent in front of the church. The congregation will be presenting and pledging to the flags, worshiping the Lord, having singing and special music, a message from Pastor Bill, with many other activities. The Church’s new Declaration of Dependance on God will be read and signed by the congregation. After the service will be a free picnic lunch, a bounce house, and games for all ages. Pastor Bill Barlow and the congregation invite all to come and celebrate God’s goodness The church is located at 2 Anna Ave. in East Liverpool.
