Columbiana celebrates America 250 with art show

Columbiana, an official 250 Community recognized by the State of Ohio, finished up their 4th of July festivities. COLUMBIANA – The America 250 celebration continued in Columbiana with the Student Art & Speech Competition. Idabelle’s Gathering Place at Firestone Park hosted the art show with the student speeches reflecting on our nation’s past and the hope for the future.

The following high school students who competed in the art show will earn monetary prizes sponsored by the Columbiana Community Foundation, Humtown Products, Farmers National Bank, and MAC Trailer.

Immediately following the art show, which remained on display throughout the evening, the students selected as the top performers from their respective school’s essay contests presented their speeches to a panel of judges representing teachers, historians, veterans, local government, and local businesses. These students all received monetary prizes also sponsored by the same generous donors.
