Salem Concert Series to mark nation’s 250th birthday Sunday
The Salem Quaker City Band, under the direction of Robert Barnett, will be celebrating the nation’s 250th birthday Sunday at 6 p.m. at Waterworth Memorial Park in Salem. Admission is free. Jim’s Roadhouse Burgers and Beef is returning with sandwiches and sides, while Totally 80’s Ice Ice Cream Shoppe will be available for dessert. Tickets will be sold for 50/50 drawings and for prizes donated by local businesses and by friends of the concert series. Bring lawn chairs or blankets. Parking is available at the park’s Sunset Boulevard entrance, or the Superior Avenue entrance, with limited handicap accessible parking.
