Lepper Library announces upcoming activities
LISBON — Lepper Library will host the following upcoming events:
— History Walk of Downtown Lisbon with Gene Krotky
Saturday, June 13, 1 p.m.
Join Gene Krotky, curator of the Lisbon Historical Society, for a guided tour of historic downtown Lisbon. This History Walk invites questions while exploring the area’s rich history. Call to register.
— Political Turmoil History Program
With guest speaker Timothy Brookes
Thursday, June 18, 5:30-7 p.m.
In honor of the nation’s anniversary, explore politics surrounding the Civil War and take a closer look at Ohio Congressman Clement Vallandigham and his view on the Civil War. Call to register.
Adult Summer Reading Program Starts June 8
Join the library for “Unearth A Story,” promoting adult reading to inspire children. Earn entry tickets for prize drawings with each book read and participate in weekly challenges for extra prizes donated by local businesses. Celebrate the nation’s birthday with patriotic projects, including canvas painting, local historian talks, and learning patriotic ukulele songs.
–DINO ACTIVITIES
Saturday, June 6 from 10:30 a.m.-noon
Drop in and get a start on some DINO fun before the Summer Reading Program begins. Make some dinosaur crafts and color a large dinosaur poster.

Monday, June 8 at 11 a.m.
Come join in on all the fun of the Summer Reading Program’s UNEARTH A STORY. Get registered and explore the world of dinosaurs at the available stations: Decorate own canvas bag, use tools to excavate a Dino Egg, Dig for Dinosaurs, and Plant your own Flower.

Wednesday, June 10 at 2 p.m.
Guest Instructor: Heidi Buck, OSU Extension Community Wellness & Life Skills Coordinator, will lead an interactive program for school age children, focusing on the essential role of water for all life.
— Mystery Puzzle: The Gift of Murder
Wednesday, June 11 from 2-4 p.m.
Program for teens. UNEARTH the mystery by following the clues in the puzzle.
