LEETONIA — The village of Leetonia will be celebrating the grand opening of the new restrooms at the Wurster Memorial Splash Pad with an evening of family fun Friday.

The event promises a full night of free activities for children from 5 to 8 p.m. The event will feature a large bounce house, music and free food for attendees.

Parks Board Member Suzanne Tobuck said that there will be hot dogs and sweets for children, including cookies, cupcakes and snow cones.

“We just decided to do kind of a fun day, and celebrate the new bathrooms that were put in,” Tobuck said.

The event will also feature a basket raffle, with all proceeds benefiting the Park Board Fund. Tobuck said that raffle tickets will be six tickets for $5.
