CPR CLASSES SCHEDULED FOR JULY

NEW CUMBERLAND, W.Va. — The Hancock County Health Dept. will offer Basic Life Support and Heartsaver classes in July.

The BLS class which includes CPR and AED training geared toward healthcare worked is slated from 9 a.m. to noon on July 7. A written exam is mandatory. Cost is $25.

The Heartsaver class which includes first aid, CPR and AED training will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. on July 28. Cost is $50. Written exam is optional. A student handbook will be available for $5.

SOUTHERN LOCAL BOE MEETING SET

SALINEVILLE — The Southern Local Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. on Monday in the high school cafeteria. The purpose of this meeting is to approve temporary appropriations for fiscal year 2027, final appropriations for fiscal year 2026, final certificate of estimated resources for fiscal year 2026, first certificate of estimated resources for fiscal year 2027 and hiring of personnel.

WEST BRANCH BOE SPECIAL MEETING

BELOIT — The West Branch Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 4 p.m. today in the West Branch High School Media Room. This meeting is to approve liability, fleet and building insurance, to approve a pilot program between West Branch and Ohio High Education on direct admission to college and the employment of a public official.
