EAST LIVERPOOL — East Liverpool City Schools recognizes Scout Troop 2012 and Cub Scouts Pack 43 for their community service efforts ahead of Memorial Day by placing American flags on veterans’ graves at Riverview Cemetery, Longs Run Cemetery, and Springhill Cemetery in Wellsville.

The Scouts spent time honoring local veterans by carefully placing flags at gravesites, ensuring the sacrifices of those who served our nation are remembered and respected. Their efforts serve as a meaningful reminder of the true purpose of Memorial Day — honoring the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to the United States.

“This act of service demonstrates outstanding citizenship and respect for our veterans,” said East Liverpool City Schools Director of Communications Megan Hernandez. “We are incredibly proud of these students for taking time to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.”
