CIC votes to pursue debt collection for defaulted loans
EAST LIVERPOOL — The East Liverpool Community Improvement Corporation will start the debt collection process for defaulted loans.
During a full CIC board meeting, following CIC finance and property committee meetings, the board voted unanimously to start the debt collection process, which could include debt exams and garnishment against two business who have defaulted on their loans.
The CIC is going after the principal amounts owed by Dee’s Crafts and Cravings in the amount of $4,528.13 and Coppa Mutts and Cutts in the amount of $26,531.81.
The matter was discussed in a committee meeting and voted on during the full board meeting.
The board members also voted to advertise for bids for a tree removal at 500 Maryland Ave., which was discussed in the finance and property committee meetings and voted on during the full board meeting.
The board also established a regular monthly date of the third Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in council chambers at city hall.
The next regular meeting of the East Liverpool Community Improvement Corporation will take place on June 18.
