Buckeye Elementary students make cards for veterans
Camp Fire staff presented their “Salute to Hospitalized Veterans” program at Buckeye Elementary School, Salem, this week. Students created cards for hospitalized veterans while learning about the value of giving service and the meaning of Memorial Day and honoring veterans. Pictured are students in Mrs. Barrett’s kindergarten class displaying their cards which will be mailed to VA hospitals. The project was made possible through the generosity of the East Liverpool Elks Lodge 258, Robert Courter and the Widow’s Sons Riding Association.
