“We are thrilled to share that the pool is on track for a hopeful Memorial Day weekend 2026 opening,” it was announced on the municipality’s Facebook Page. “While the official opening depends on construction, we are committed to keeping the community updated every step of the way.”
The park’s old swimming pool was an integral part of the $25 million project.
A new sand volleyball court was installed during phase one, complete with new lights and patio furniture as well as fencing.
Currently the park’s basketball, pickleball and tennis courts are open, Diaz-Guy explained as crews finish up their work on the pool house and its plumbing.

The park’s Rainbow Dreamland, which has been a mainstay for the village’s littlest residents over 40 years, closed in mid-June as officials prepare to replace it with a new all-inclusive playground as part of Phase 3, which hasn’t started yet.
The park’s Community Center expects to see upgrades in the future.
Diaz-Guy added that the Ohio Department of Natural Resources plans to stock a pond within the park with fish in April just in time for a fishing derby that will be held later that month for area youth.
Still no firm answer in regards to the community’s most common question: “Are we having fireworks at the park for July 4, 2026?”
April’s print village newsletter will include a Frequently Asked Questions section about the park, which follows after village officials asked residents to submit their queries via the official Facebook page.
