Rodman Public Library offering several upcoming activities
ALLIANCE – Rodman Public Library is offering several upcoming activities.
– Rodman Public Library will host a movie matinee in the Main Auditorium at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 4. The feature will be a 2025 animated adventure comedy that is based on a television series and features a relentlessly cheerful sea sponge and his ever-optimistic best friend who set off on a colorful underwater adventure when an unexpected crisis sends them far from their familiar seaside home. Along the way, they encounter quirky sea creatures, wild obstacles, and plenty of laugh-out-loud moments as they work together to set things right. (Due to licensing agreements, the library cannot publicly state the title of the film in mainstream media, but it is stated on rodmanlibrary.com ). The film, which is rated PG, runs 1 hour and 28 minutes. All movies are free at RPL and fresh popcorn is provided, thanks to Friends of Rodman Public Library. Registration is not required. All ages are welcome to attend, but children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.
– Rodman Branch Library’s Hot Pots Storytime will have an Easter theme in April. Children, ages 2-12, are invited to come to the RPL Branch for a mini storytime and then proceed to Hot Pots, accompanied by their guardian, to paint an Easter egg box craft. Glitter paints will be used so that the finished project will be able to be taken home that day and enjoyed over the holiday. Two sessions will be held, including Wednesday, April 1 at 6:30 p.m. and another on Saturday, April 4 at 11 a.m. The cost is $15.99 per child and registration is required. The fee for the event is payable to Hot Pots upon registration at hotpotspottery.com.
– Children, ages 3-5, and their caregivers are invited to attend a spring session of Storytime at the Rodman Branch Library on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. between April 9 and May 14. Storytime sessions are intended to encourage lifelong readers through stories, music, movement and activities.
