CARROLLTON — Appalachian Hills Pregnancy & Parenting Center (AHPPC), a non-profit organization located at 351 Park Ave. in Carrollton, will open April 7. The center will serve pregnant women and families in Carroll County and surrounding areas. A ribbon cutting ceremony and open house will be held in May.

AHPPC provides free pregnancy tests, compassionate support, prenatal planning, maternity clothes and infant gear, prenatal and postpartum education, mentors for mothers and fathers, and more.

AHPPC’s mission is to offer Christ-centered pregnancy and parenting wellness services, emotional support, material assistance and educational opportunities so pregnant women can make informed decisions about their health, children and future.

“Our goal is to save women and babies from abortion by answering every question, explaining every procedure, and providing free and confidential short- and long-term resources so she can confidently navigate pregnancy, childbirth and parenthood,” says Rhonda Harris, center director. “We want any woman who thinks she may be pregnant to know she’s not alone. We’re here to help.”

AHPPC is staffed by caring Christian volunteers who have a heart for protecting women and children. This hometown mission is made possible by the generous contributions of local churches and individual donors, and by the diligent efforts of its Board of Directors: Cheri Miller, Rob Atkinson, Jennifer Kiko, Kate Offenberger, Deb Hyde and JC Birong.
