Harvey Awards celebrate honorees for impact in Columbiana

The Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce on Thursday recognized nine award recipients during the 73rd Annual Harvey Awards at The Barn at Firestone Farms in Columbiana. - Crestview High School graduate Adam Hickman, Ph.D., delivers the keynote address Thursday at the 73rd Annual Harvey Awards at The Barn at Firestone Farms in Columbiana. His presentation was on the needs of followers from leaders drawn from a survey of 100,000 people: trust, hope, stability and compassion. Hickman, of Poland, is vice-president of organizational and employee development for Partners Federal Credit Union, serving The Walt Disney Company. He is also a globally recognized leadership strategist, accomplished author and organizational development executive. He previously advised Fortune 500 leaders during his tenure with Gallup and has presented at conferences globally. (Submitted photo)
The awards recognize individuals and organizations whose achievements strengthened education, inspired young leaders, drove entrepreneurship, advanced business growth and improved quality of life across Columbiana.

“We’re proud to recognize this year’s honorees and the leadership they’re showing in business, education and service,” said Zach King, executive director of the Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce. “Their work is helping strengthen Columbiana and the people who call it home.”

Elijah Stambaugh, chief academic officer of Heartland Christian School, delivered the invocation. King welcomed guests and closed the ceremony. Awards were presented by
Greg Smith, chairman of the board at Compco Industries. Guy Coviello, president & CEO of the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber also made remarks.
In addition, the Youngstown Warren Regional Chamber Foundation presented the Columbiana Chamber with a check for $30,000 to support the Columbiana Chamber’s work.
