SALEM — The Columbiana County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant with the assistance of the Salem Police Department Friday.
Columbiana County Drug Enforcement Task Force (DTF) Director Jesse Smith said that during the search warrant executed at 1158 S. Lincoln Ave. Unit C Friday morning, between 35 and 40 grams of suspected methamphetamines was located and seized throughout the residence. Officers also recovered scales, packaging material, and other paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.
Smith said that six individuals inside the residence were detained during the search, including resident Danielle Kenst, and later released at the scene. Smith said that no arrests were made since official charges are pending lab results, and the investigation was still ongoing.
The Columbiana County Mobile Crisis Response team was contacted and responded to the scene. Smith said that the Crisis Response Team’s peer support personnel were able to speak with at least one person on scene about substance abuse counseling.
