West Branch FFA Grain Merchandising Team qualifies for state contest
The West Branch FFA Grain Merchandising Team has qualified for the state contest. The team members Stella Zippay, Lance Myers, Austin Ruthrauff, and Austin Pierce put in practice time learning grain market analysis, and merchandising skills to prepare for competition.
Their teamwork and commitment paid off, and they represented the chapter with pride. At the state competition, the team will be tasked with marketing a grain crop for one production cycle. The team will compete at Wilmington College on March 18 to determine final placings.
The school is proud of their accomplishment and wish them the best at the state competition. Seven outstanding members of the school’s Ohio FFA chapter earned their Ohio FFA State Degree: Isabella Higgins, Grady Rockwell, Austin Ruthrauff, Stella Zippy, Austin Pierce, Connor Linder and Bryce Hoopes. This degree recognizes their hard work, leadership, and dedication to agricultural education.
The school is also proud of Alex Campbell, whose American FFA Degree application has advanced past the state level and is now headed to national judging through the National FFA Organization. In addition, Isabella Higgins created our Gold Star Reporter Book, showcasing the many accomplishments and activities of our chapter. This is a first for West Branch FFA to have this many state degrees in a year.
