Wellsville Care and Share October Senior of the Month
The Wellsville Care and Share Community Club (formerly the Wellsville Lions Club) has chosen Clayten Kersey as the Senior of the Month for October 2025. Clayten is the son of Rachel Zelasko of Wellsville.
Clayten has been an active member of the Choir and Ebony and Ivory Show Choir, as well as a four-year participant in the Spring Play. His creativity and teamwork have also extended to his involvement in Publications, helping to chronicle school life and memories for the yearbook.
Clayten has been involved in Leo Club, Science Club, and Spirit Club, where he serves as Treasurer. He has served as Student Council President, Junior Class President, and currently holds the position of Senior Class Vice President.
Clayten has been a key member of both the football and track teams making him a four-year member of the Varsity W Club. During his junior year, he was a state qualifier in track.
Academically, Clayten has consistently maintained Honor Roll status. His leadership was recognized beyond the school walls as he was selected as a representative of Wellsville at Buckeye Boys State and served as a Class Ambassador at the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center.
Clayten currently works for the Village of Wellsville. After high school, he plans to attend Kent State University to major in Psychology.
