CAT Pineapple Express

COLUMBIANA — The Columbiana Arts Theater (The CAT) will present 11 Days: The Story of Operation Pineapple Express, a one-man theatrical experience written and performed by retired U.S. Army Green Beret Scott Mann. The production brings audiences inside the final days of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan and the extraordinary mission that followed.

The performance is scheduled for 2 p.m. March 14. Tickets are available at www.atthecat.com. Due to the powerful nature of the content, audience discretion is advised.

More than a war story, 11 Days chronicles the race against time as American veterans worked tirelessly to rescue Afghan allies left behind during the chaotic evacuation.

Through immersive storytelling and raw authenticity, Mann confronts not only the events on the ground, but also the deeper human cost of war — including moral injury, leadership under pressure, and the long road to healing many veterans face after service.

“This production is emotional, intense, and deeply meaningful,” said Katy Mumaw, marketing director at The CAT. “It invites audiences to step into a moment in history that is still fresh for many and to better understand the courage and complexity behind it.”

Produced by Task Force Pineapple, 11 Days has resonated with audiences across the country for its honest portrayal of brotherhood, duty, and resilience. The experience is designed not only to inform, but to spark conversation around service, mental health, and community support.

Second Baptist Church, 1091 Pennsylvania Ave., East Liverpool, will host a Lenten fish dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. each Friday through April 3. Dinner includes fried fish, mac and cheese and green beans for $14. Drive up or dine in.

HOMEWORTH — The West Branch Area Ladies Ruritan Club gathered for its annual Christmas party Dec. 8 at Middle Sandy Presbyterian Church in Homeworth. The next meeting will be held Monday, March 16.
