EAST PALESTINE — Vibe Vault is looking to warm up area residents’ winter blues with a little crafty fun.

Owner/artist Tish McDevitt, of Negley, is kicking off the brick-and-mortar popup with an event for mini-makers from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at 12 East Main St. in downtown East Palestine.

The craft-and-sip event will cater to youth ages 4 to 12. While the youngsters craft, their accompanying adults are invited to keep relax and keep fueled up via a cup of coffee purchased from Park Avenue. Mobile Sip Shop will be on site.

Adults also can shop, while their youth complete crafts at up to five creative stations. If their accompanying child is younger than age 6, it is recommended they remain on site.

The crafting cost varies depending on how many stations that adults want to purchase for their mini-maker. Single stations cost $10, two stations $15, and three stations cost $22.

There is no preregistration required, McDevitt said, adding that all three of the sessions will be walk-in only.

Projects vary by pace, and youngsters can create at their own speed.

Stations include making a photo holder, Charm Lab, which allows the crafter to select two pre-made resin charms and attach one to a necklace and the second to a key chain; the Imagination Board; Zoom Cars and Thumbprint Art.

Vibe Vault will hold two February events. The first is Feb. 7 will be another mini-makers session planned from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the same location.

Adult crafters get their turn on Saturday, Feb. 21, for an event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the 12 E. Main St. location.

McDevitt’s custom art and soulful decor is available for purchase at Sew Be It Custom Embroidery, 39 North Market St. in East Palestine.

Between April and October, she takes her skills on the road with a mobile-crafting trailer.

Her husband, Jason, converted their enclosed trailer into a mobile shop –allowing her to travel up to three hours away to sell her wares and do art-to-go events, like festivals.

“Vibe Vault is a mobile, handcrafted business built around creativity and energy. It represents protecting what is valuable, and for me, that’s creativity,” she said.
