Madison Township trustees meeting

Madison Township Board of Trustees has rescheduled its Feb. 4 meeting to 6 p.m. Feb. 3 at the township administration building.

Giant Pumpkin Growers seminar

The Ohio Valley Giant Pumpkin Growers Club is offering its annual Beginner’s Giant Pumpkin Growers free seminar Saturday, Jan. 31 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at Parks Garden Center in Canfield. Site selection, soil testing and preparation, soil/plant health, fertility options, pest management, seed selection, patch irrigation, culture and care are all covered. Many of the very successful club members will be on hand to help participants get started on their journey to becoming the next epic grower. All of these growing principles can also be applied to growing vegetable and flower gardens.
