Leetonia board accepts donations
LEETONIA — Village school board members did some last minute housekeeping during their November meeting.
The board accepted almost $5,000 worth of donations for the PBIS and robotics teams.
Contributing to the Robotics team were the American Legion, Washingtonville VFW, Down on Main, Leetonia Steel Erectors, Sitler The Printer, and Down On Main. Also contributing to the PBIS program, which recently was awarded Gold at the state level, were the American Legion Post and Leetonia Steel Erectors.
Tawyna Gologram, Kaitlyn Buffone, Tom Rudebock, Madaline Matajka and Sandra Solomon also donated instruments to the music program.
Also at the meeting, the school board took action to realign the titles for its administrators for grades six through 12.
Impacted positions included the principal, dean of students and athletic director of the Leetonia Junior High and High School, which is now grades six to 12. Thus their contracts needed amended to reflect the new school alignment. Previously Leetonia Elementary School had included grades kindergarten to six.

— Renewed their annual membership to the Family and Children First Council of Columbiana County at a cost of $575.
— Approved two days unpaid leave of absence on Dec. 10-11 for Melanie Dolak.
— Contracted for the 2025-26 school year for snow removal with Sodbusters Landscaping.
