LISBON — Justin Fisher is the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center’s November Student of the Month.

Justin is a senior from Beaver Local High School and is enrolled in the Vocational Job Training (VJT) Program under the instruction of Stephanie Coie.

Justin is a member of the Beaver Local bowling team. During the summer, he works as a groundskeeper at Beaver Local. He is also employed as Wendy’s in Calcutta.

Justin has set a goal of getting his driver’s license so he can achieve his future plans to graduate and obtain employment for a successful future.

Justin stated, “Attending the CCCTC was a good decision because I learned job skills, made many friends, and learned responsibility as a team leader.”

Justin was nominated by Coie, who stated, “Justin demonstrates exceptional performance during his work experience at CCCTC. He quickly learns new tasks and requires minimal prompting to remain on track. He is self-motivated, consistently maintains a positive attitude, and takes pride in his work. He willingly approaches each assignment, demonstrates perseverance, and exhibits emerging leadership skills. Justin communicates effectively by giving and receiving feedback, practicing active listening, and asking appropriate questions for clarification. He demonstrates strong time management and organizational skills, completing tasks efficiently and with attention to detail. He also shows initiative by requesting additional assignments without being prompted and by willingly taking on extra responsibilities. His attendance has been reliable, and he consistently arrives prepared for work. He interacts well with his peers, shows respect for the opinions of others, and contributes positively to team problem-solving. He completes job tasks independently and accurately, begins work without reminders, maintains focus until tasks are finished, and seeks out further work upon completion. Overall, Justin displays the qualities of a responsible, dependable, and skilled worker. His performance indicates strong potential for continued success in future employment opportunities.”

Justin is the son of Chris and Leila Fisher.
