Soup sale

The Columbiana First United Methodist Church will host a soup sale in January. Pre-orders will be needed by Jan. 4. Pickup will be on Jan. 8 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Soups available for order are chicken noodle, stuffed pepper, potato, vegetable, ham and bean, and chili. EP public hearing

The Village of East Palestine Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. Jan. 22 at the East Palestine Municipal Building, 85 N. Market St. The hearing will consider an appeal filed by Michael Williams regarding the property located at 71 N. Market St., Apt. F. The appeal concerns a determination that the first floor is being used as a residential apartment, which is not a permitted use in the B-2 Central Business District under the Village Zoning Code
