“The Walk to Bethlehem”

“The Walk to Bethlehem” will be on Saturday, Dec. 13 from noon to 2 p.m. at the First Methodist Church of Salem, 244 S. Broadway Ave. Travel through the streets of Bethlehem while learning about the story of Christmas with games, treats and fun.

DAHS Hall of Fame

The deadline for nominations of outstanding alumni to be added to the David Anderson High School Hall of Fame is Dec. 15. The Lisbon Alumni Association requests that nominations include the name of the nominee, the year of graduation, the nominee’s contact information in addition to the reasons the individual should be added to the Hall of Fame. Nominations must be signed by the person submitting the nomination and include his/her contact information. Nominations must be mailed to: Lisbon Alumni Association, P.O. Box 421, Lisbon, OH 44432 and be received no later than Dec. 15. The induction dinner will be held in late April 2026.

Mile Branch soup sale

Mile Branch Grange, 495 Knox School Road, Alliance, will hold its monthly drive-thru soup sale on Thursday, Dec. 11. Cost is $9 per quart. This month’s soups will be chicken noodle and chili. Soup must be preordered by noon on Wednesday, Dec. 10. Soup will be available for pick up from 4 to 6 p.m. It will be packaged and delivered directly to cars ready to heat when at home. Call 330-821-8023 to reserve soup. Leave name, phone number, type of soup and number of quarts.
